Speech-Language Pathologist/Owner

I graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 2002. I received my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Cleveland State University in 2005. I am licensed by the Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

I have over 15 years experience in diagnostic evaluations and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of speech, language, and feeding/swallowing difficulties. I have provided services across varied settings including private practice, schools, home-based, short-term rehabilitation facilities, and long-term care. My areas of interest include speech sound development, language development, Autism Spectrum Disorder, social pragmatic development, feeding/swallowing, executive functioning, memory, and cognition. I have additional training including Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, DIRFloortime, Spaced-Retrieval memory intervention, Deep Pharyngeal Neuromuscular Stimulation (DPNS), and Patterned Electrical Neuromuscular Stimulation (PENS).

When I was younger, I always knew I wanted to grow up and do something that would allow me to help others. In high school, I volunteered in the special education department and had the opportunity to assist the speech-language pathologist. She came in every Tuesday with a smile on her face and energy that lit up the classroom. I knew at that moment I had found my calling. To this day, I have never once wavered from that decision. I am passionate about helping others and incredibly grateful that each day I get to do just that. When I am not busy working with my clients, you can find me cheering for my son on a baseball or soccer field…sometimes even both on the same day!
